About the Artist
Rex Valentine has always enjoyed drawing simple pictures. He has illustrated two of his published books, “The Rutabaga Patch” and “Spreading Chestnut Wisdom” in a colloquial manner, which ‘tells the story’. H has had no instruction to paint with oils, but enjoyed making the efforts. His “Deer in the Brush’ painting is his first major work typifying his great love and experience of the wooded landscape of Western Washington. “Peace on the Pond” * illustrates his passion for the outdoors married to birds and animals.
