TERRY DAVENPORT — BIOGRAPHY 2013
Terry is a mother, grandmother and registered nurse, who lives in Aberdeen, and paints watercolors in her time off from visiting clients for Harbors Home Health and Hospice. Part Alaska native, part Norwegian/ Russian, she was born in Washington but grew up in Wrangell, Alaska. Terry comes from a family who love fishing and hunting, and has spent a number of years trolling commercially in Southeast Alaska.
Terry moved to Aberdeen to attend Grays Harbor College nursing program in the early 90’s, fell in love with the area and stayed. She began taking watercolors with John Wyatt while in nursing school, has painted off and on since that time. More recently she has taken instruction from artist Roy Lowry of Ocean Shores and Stan Miller of Spokane. Terry finds the rugged beauty and the industrious, outdoorsy lifestyle of the Pacific Northwest to be very inspiring and doesn’t anticipate running out of subject matter anytime soon.
