Mery Swanson (Fall 2013)

Watercolor artist Mery Logerstedt Swanson resides in Aberdeen, Grays Harbor County and creates from the inspiration of the beautiful Pacific Northwest, often those things growing in her own garden.

“I see a wonderful progression of magical and beautiful things here during every season of the year.”

Mery assisted in the presentation of “Works on Paper”, Spellman Library at Gray Harbor College, co-chair of Children’s Division of the Westport Arts Festival 2003, past board member of Grays Harbor Art League, Harbor Art Guild, and Aberdeen Revitalization Movement. She has worked with a group of local artists in the creation of the “Artists on the Map” program where ‘Aberdeen Merchants Showcase Local Artists and is present board member of Our Aberdeen, a non-profit volunteer group that promotes projects which promote pride in Aberdeen, as the Director of the Art Promotion Group of Our Aberdeen. The mission of the Art Promotion Group is to catalog, preserve and promote the work of local artists of the past and present. Our Aberdeen’s multiple projects can be seen on www.ouraberdeen.com.
