Larry Walden (Fall 2014)

Larry Walden is a professional artist who works in oil and pastel. He began formal training in a commercial art school at age sixteen in Houston, Texas. After serving in the USAF he studied at the Art Students League of New York where he received a four year certificate of completion. His primary teachers were Frank Herbert Mason and Robert Beverly Hale. He studied landscape painting during the summers and studied the methods and materials of the Old Masters. He was elected to the Board of Control of the Art Students League and is a life member. He continues the practice of being an artist by working hard and taking workshops.
