Debbie Delia (Fall 2012)

I developed my passion for art while growing up in Hoquiam Washington. My first lessons started at an early age often with our neighbor Gloria Jasper. She guided me through the basics of drawing and continued to share with me the wonders of painting in oil and pastels. During college and as an adult I have had the opportunity to become acquainted with a variety of art mediums such as pen and ink, gouache and watercolor. I studied art at Grays Harbor College graduating in the early 70’s. Always wanting to expand my knowledge and evolve with my art, I have taken numerous workshops from many respected artists including the late Irving Shapiro, Carol Orr, Ned Mueller, Stan Miller and Ron Ransom. In the fall of 2005 I traveled to Tuscany Italy to participate in a two week plein-aire watercolor workshop taught by California artist Sylvia Miller.

The last several years have been a time to grow, heal and evolve as an artist and a person. The wisdom I have developed during this time shall be shared as I work to bring healing to others through the expression of my art using the essence of color.
